17th Annual Rotarian Lowell's Classic Car Show at the Apopka Fair, presented by the Rotary Club of Apopka and Florida Region AACA, is held at Kit Land Nelson Park on Park Ave. Car show features Antique, Classic, and Special Interest Cars and Trucks. Over 125 cars participated in the 2017 show, many of which are featured in the slide show above. Awards include People's Choice, Celebrity Choice, The Rotarian Lowell Award, and others. There are dash plaques for the first 125 cars registered, a 50/50 drawing, neat door prizes, and music by WJBJ Cruising with the Classics.

The Celebrity Guest for the 2018 show started a TV segment called "Training Days" while a TV Anchor at a station in Oklahoma City. As the Anchor and creator of the segment, our Celebrity Guest rode a bull, played arena football, and even drove a "Monster" Truck. Our Celebrity Guest is the Emmy Award winning Evening News Anchor for WKMG TV 6, Matt Austin. Matt is a Florida Native and graduate of FSU. He does a great job as the News Anchor and you will surely want to catch his newscasts on WKMG TV 6. Previous Celebrities at the show include: Tom Sorrells, Chief Meteorologist for WKMG TV 6, Red Huber, celebrated photo journalist with the Orlando Sentinel, Jim Payne, WESH TV 2 News Anchor, Mike Kelly of Mike Kelly's Cruise News, and Tom Terry, WFTV TV 9 Chief Meteorologist.

Proceeds from the Fair benefit the Rotary Club of Apopka Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization that supports over 40 local and international charities, many of them youth oriented. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m., an opening ceremony at 11 a.m., with awards presented at 2:30 p.m. Only $10 day of show registration includes hot coffee, cold OJ, and fresh donuts for show participants.
